The kids are back in school, the days are getting a little shorter, and the mad dash to the end of the year is in full swing. Yep, it’s September! And while we can’t escape the lingering summer heat, we can fill our calendars with fun things to do around town. Here is a list of September events in Wylie, Texas.

Load Up On Late Summer Produce at the Wylie Farmers Market

Usher in fall at the Wylie Farmers Market. The market is open two days in September, the 5th and the 19th. Pack your (reusable, of course) bags with fresh late summer produce, local honey, and even organic, grass-fed meats. Get there early to snag some fresh sourdough, as the baked goods don’t last long and are usually sold out within a couple of hours! The Wylie Farmers Market is located in the parking lot of Wylie B&B and is open from 9am until 1pm.

Welcome Fall With Yoga at the Park

You only have two months left to enjoy a free outdoor yoga class. Bring those good yoga vibes into fall with Yoga at the Park on Saturday, September 5th, at 10am. This free class is a great introduction to yoga or the perfect practice for long-time yoga lovers. Hosted by downtown yoga studio, Yogadana, in conjunction with Wylie Parks and Recreation, Yoga in the Park is located at the Welcome Center at the Brown House. The event reoccurs on the first Saturday of every month from April through October.

Celebrate All Day Long at the Wylie Christian Care Center Block Bash

Join the Wylie Christian Care Center as they dedicate a bench and plaque in honor of Raymond Cooper at Olde City Park on Saturday, September 26th, from 8am until 4pm. Enjoy live music, a DJ, and a bounce house for the kids. Spend some time downtown checking out the silent auction items in different local shops.
