Meet us on the Lawn between The Welcome Center at Brown House and the Wylie Chamber of Commerce for an ‘Old-Fashioned Family Picnic’. Bring a picnic from home or stop in at one of our small business restaurants for take out and join us for live music, lawn games, and fun for the whole family on North Ballard. Select food items will be available for purchase on site including adult picnic boxes for $8 and children’s picnic boxes for $6. We hope to see you and your family there! No tickets required.

More than 200 children select a unique car of their choice that has been provided and decorated by local merchants and race 500 inches down Ballard Avenue in heats of seven. Winners receive trophies in two age brackets. The $15 entry fee includes a T-shirt, and proceeds benefit area Special Olympics and historic downtown Wylie beautification.
