There was a time, not so long ago, when Wylie residents who were craving a good brunch would have to leave town to find it. We are happy to report that’s no longer the case, and locals can now stay in town when brunch cravings hit. Here are Wylie’s best brunch spots (eggs Benedict, anyone?).

Ferah Smokehouse and Cantina
Ferah Smokehouse & Cantina, located at 950 Westgate Way in Wylie, knows a thing or two about how to brunch. With a full bar serving specialty cocktails, fantastic, friendly service, and a chef-inspired menu, the restaurant is a great place to bring friends and family when you’re craving something just a little out of the ordinary. Weekend brunch is served from 11 AM until 3 PM and features specialties such as Brisket Eggs Benedict, Salmon Avocado Toast, and the Cowboy Skillet Breakfast. Another treat to look forward to at Ferah’s weekend brunch is $2 mimosas.

Frankie’s Casa
Ask any Wylie local where to get Mexican food, and there’s a good chance Frankie’s Casa in historic downtown Wylie will be the first thing out of their mouth. Known for their premium margaritas and robust menu loaded with Mexican favorites, Frankie’s also does a number on brunch. Enjoy outdoor seating (which includes big-screen TVs in case the Cowboys are playing!) and some of Frankie’s favorites, like Breakfast Tacos, Brisket and Eggs, or everyone’s favorite, Breakfast Enchiladas (three enchiladas loaded with breakfast sausage and cheese, covered in hollandaise sauce, served with a side of Mexican potatoes sauteed with onions and cilantro).
Bold BBQ Pit
Bold BBQ Pit in downtown Wylie isn’t always open for brunch, but when it is, you’re going to want to swing by. The barbecue restaurants is known for its traditional Texas BBQ with some unexpected twists (like blue cheese coleslaw and brisket egg rolls), and they know how to do breakfast justice. Bold offers the occasional brunch, with holiday brunches being particularly popular. The 2025 Christmas brunch included such specialties as smoked meat breakfast tacos, sausage biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, and of course, pancakes. Check in with Bold regularly for information on the next Bold brunch.
Ballard Street Cafe
Ballard Street Cafe is a Wylie institution. It’s been a popular downtown breakfast joint for years, and the regulars wouldn’t dream of eating elsewhere. With a charming ambience, fast and friendly service, and a wide variety of options on the menu, there is something for everyone at Ballard Street Cafe. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from, including cafe breakfast classics like Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs, Pigs in a Blanket, and a stack of soft, fluffy pancakes. Ballard Street Cafe even offers some standout options like Chicken Fried Pork Loin and the Mexicali Scramble. Go hungry!

Starwood Cafe
East Wylie residents were excited to have a new breakfast joint in town when Starwood Cafe opened. Offering breakfast and lunch, the restaurant is often packed with locals excited about the all-day breakfast options. The menu is plentiful, and you’ll have a time picking between offerings like Banana and Nutella Crepes, Bacon Avocado Omelets, and Chilaquiles. They also offer a delicious basket of Croissant Beignets, dusted with powdered sugar and served with a side of chocolate sauce for dipping (yep…you need those in your life).

No matter where you end up, you’re sure to be delighted with these tasty Wylie brunch options. So gather your friends and family, pick a new place to eat, and enjoy brunch right here in town.
