Last week, we asked the Discover Wylie community for the best place to grab a cocktail in Wylie, Texas. There were lots of recommendations and some strong opinions, but only a handful of locations made today’s list. We sorted through the answers and put together a list of the five most recommended spots to grab a cocktail in town.

Want to take a look at all of the comments, and the places that didn’t make the list? A few other places were very, very close. You can see the full list by clicking on the original Facebook post below. (Did we miss any? You can add your thoughts to the Facebook post!)
Fish N’ Tails
Everyone loves a good drink from Fish ‘N Tails! While most people probably think of oysters, seafood, or even key lime pie when they think of this local seafood restaurant, the drinks are another big draw. With a full bar and some beautiful signature cocktails, this is the place to go if you’re craving something fishy and want a fancy adult bevvie on the side.

Creekside Fine Grill
Creekside Fine Grill might be the new kid in town, but they’re definitely not newbies when it comes to handcrafted cocktails. Creekside has a full bar and some robust Happy Hour specials Tuesday-Friday from 4-6PM (try the Hot Crab and Shrimp Dip, you’re welcome). Whether you’re looking for a mixed drink or a bottle of wine, you’ll have lots of choices, great service, and an upscale atmosphere at Creekside.
Herman Marshall Whiskey
Wylie’s own whiskey distillery and tasting room made the top five, but that’s no surprise – Herman Marshall Whiskey has become a hot weekend spot since opening in 2023. With Wylie-made bourbon and vodka, you can choose from a variety of cocktails on the menu. Order food from a downtown restaurant (they will deliver to your table!), listen to live music, and enjoy sipping some award-winning whiskey, right here in town.

Landon Winery
We had a feeling Landon Winery would make the top five. And while Landon is a winery, they do offer cocktails for the non-wine drinkers (the slushies are the perfect summer drink, and many people go just for the sangria). Landon also has some great snacking options, from flatbreads to their famous “Texan” charcuterie board that can feed an army (ok, maybe 6-8 people is more realistic!). Wine Down Wednesday is a popular event, with great deals and usually, a packed house.

Frankie’s Casa
Taking the top spot, with the most votes, was Frankie’s Casa in downtown Wylie. While they have a full bar and are a highly popular evening destination, I am pretty sure the reason they made the number one spot boils down to one word: margaritas. Frankie’s margs are widely considered some of the best around, and when you pair a signature margarita with some queso and guac? Magic.

We had a few other restaurants that didn’t quite make the cut, but are definitely worthy. You can also find great cocktails at:
Woodbridge Golf Club
Jhonny’s
NY Pizza & Pints
