Summer 2025 was one of the coolest summers on record in the Dallas metroplex, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t hot! As we roll into September, we are excited to usher in everyone’s favorite season (that’s fall, in case you were wondering) with a collection of classic Wylie events and a sprinkling of new ones. Here’s a collection of September 2025 events taking place in Wylie, Texas.

Wylie Championship Rodeo

The Wylie Championship Rodeo comes to town for its 31st year on September 12th and 13th, 2025, and tickets are on sale now. Be sure to get those tickets in advance if you want to reserve seats at this popular event, which brings in cowboys and cowgirls from all over the state (and surrounding states, too). The Wylie Championship Rodeo is sponsored by the Wylie Area Chamber of Commerce. This event is sanctioned by the United Professional Rodeo Association and includes bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and calf roping, to name just a few of the events.

Guests can enjoy over 50 vendor and concession booths, free games for the kiddos, and even a petting zoo. Come see the rodeo at the Wylie Rodeo Arena, which is located at Wylie Birmingham Ag Center.

North Texas Giving Day

Wylie is a close-knit community with a strong presence of non-profit organizations giving back to their community. North Texas Giving Day is your way to give back to these organizations that give so much. North Texas Giving Day takes place online on September 18th, 2025. Find your favorite non-profit to support financially and make a donation (any size donation helps!). While North Texas Giving Day is officially on September 18th, giving starts now.

Wylie Farmers Market

The Wylie Farmers Market is back! Come browse artisan crafts and locally-grown produce and meat at this seasonal event. The Wylie Farmers Market takes place on the first and third Saturdays from April through October, so for September, plan on attending on September 6th and 20th. The farmers market is located at the Wylie B&B Theaters and runs from 9 am until 1 pm.

Wylie Urban Market

Support local artists, artisans, business owners and creators at Wylie’s newest gathering place, Wylie Urban Market. Stocked with locally grown and made products, Wylie Urban Market also hosts events and classes taught by local experts.

On September 5th, join your community for a pizza pop-up and shopping at Pizza Night at the Market. Dine on made-from-scratch (yep, the dough and mozzarella are homemade) wood-fired Neopolitan-style pizzas. Can’t do gluten? Don’t worry, they’ve got something for the gluten-free pizza lovers, too.

Channel your inner artist and take a fall painting class with Shop Kelha on September 12th. You’ll learn a step-by-step process for painting a cozy fall latte painting that you’ll get to take home with you.

Paint, Eat, and Drink Wine at Landon Winery Events

Landon Winery always has something fun going on, and our favorite local winery has some exciting new events happening this month.

Love wine and painting? The two come together for a sip and paint experience at Landon Winery in downtown Wylie. Not only can you enjoy Landon’s huge selection of wines, but you’ll also get to hand-paint a beautiful, fall-themed wine glass to take home (that you can sip more Landon wine from!).

Get tickets to the wine painting class here.

Foodies and wine connoisseurs will want to get tickets to Landon’s fall dining event, the Fall into Flavor Wine Dinner with Dallas chef, Justin Box. Guests will enjoy a carefully curated multi-course fall dinner, with a different Landon wine pairing for each course. Grab your friends and snag tickets now to this can’t-miss event.

Brewed on Ballard Coffee Crawl

Love a cuppa? Well, coffee lovers will rejoice at this one-of-a-kind event for everyone who loves a good cup of joe. The Brewed on Ballard Coffee Crawl, taking place on September 27th in historic downtown Wylie, is your chance to sample more than ten locally-made coffees from community favorites, Shoemaker & Hardt and Coffee at the Hub (it’s true, Wylie loves these places – be sure to read our article about Wylie’s Favorite Coffee Places if you haven’t already!).

You can’t go wrong with caffeine and shopping, and this event gives you a chance to pop into more than ten downtown destinations, where you’ll sample sips of coffee at each one. Your ticket price includes a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize.
