What is Boo on Ballard?
Boo on Ballard is an outdoor trick-or-treating event that takes place every year in Historic Downtown Wylie. Local businesses provide all the candy. N. Ballard Ave. is closed to traffic, so plan an alternate route home if you drive down Ballard every night! At After trick-or-treating, you can enjoy Glow in the Park, a fun community party in Olde City Park (last year there was face painting, a dance party, and even an electronic bull!).
When is Boo on Ballard?
In 2024, Boo on Ballard will take place on Thursday, October 24th from 6pm until 8pm in historic downtown Wylie.
Is Boo on Ballard free?
Yes – admission to this fun event is free! You’ll want to bring some money if you plan on eating (or grabbing a drink) downtown.
Is Boo on Ballard Crowded?
Boo on Ballard is a very popular event, and you can expect crowds. Get there early to avoid the crowds (I especially recommend getting there early if you have little kiddos).
Where should I park for Boo on Ballard?
Parking can be tough! If you get there early, you should be able to easily find a spot in the downtown area. Everything is within easy walking distance. You may have to park a little farther away if you arrive later in the evening (don’t worry, it is still all very walkable). People with small children often arrive early and will be leaving early, too…so you should be able to find a spot when you arrive (just be prepared to walk a little).
Is there food at Boo on Ballard?
Yes, there are lots of food options at Boo on Ballard. Downtown restaurants will be open, or you can buy something from one of the many food trucks at Boo.
Landon and Herman Marshall Whiskey are also open if you’re looking for an adult beverage.
Is there a lot of candy of Boo on Ballard?
Trick-or-treaters will take home plenty of candy and treats! Sometimes the candy runs out towards the end of the night, so if possible get there earlier.
