Wylie’s annual 4th of July Fireworks Celebration is almost here, bringing an evening full of patriotic fun, family activities, food, and of course, fireworks, to Founders Park. Here’s everything you need to know before you go (even if you’ve been before, you might find some useful new information below).

When is Wylie’s Fireworks Celebration?

Wylie’s 4th of July Fireworks Celebration takes place on Friday, July 3. The fireworks start around 9:45, but get there early as the event kicks off at 7:30 (and if you get there early, you can claim your favorite spot!).

Where is the Event Held?

The fireworks show and 4th of July  celebration take place at Founders Park, which is located at 851 Hensley Lane in Wylie. The fireworks are launched near the Birmingham Agricultural Center, making several nearby areas great places to see the show.

Does It Cost Anything to Attend the Wylie Fireworks Show?

This event is free, but there are options to purchase food.

What Else is There to Do at the Wylie Fireworks Celebration?

This fun event is packed with family-friendly activities.

This year, there will be live music by a mashup of local bands, The Salty Dogs and Midnight Traveler. Between sets, there will be a DJ to keep the festivities rocking along.

Hungry? Food trucks and a local nonprofit will be providing plenty of options to grab dinner or a snack.

This year, there will be eight (yes, you read that correctly!) bounce houses, so bring the kids ready to jump! After the bounce houses, they can play in the spray area, hosted by Wylie Fire Rescue, to cool off.

Where Should I Park?

Parking is available throughout the surrounding area, but get there early for the best parking. You can find parking in Founders Park, or at Wylie High School, Cooper Junior High, and Draper Intermediate School.

What Should I Bring?

Bring your chairs and/or a blanket to sit on. It’s also recommended you bring plenty of water and any snacks you want to eat. It doesn’t start until the evening time, but you know how Texas is, so pack a hat and some sunscreen, too. You might also want to bring some bug spray.

Happy Fourth of July, Wylie!
