Celebrate the warm days with your friends at Glen Echo Brewing’s Maifest, which runs from May 1-3! Enjoy live music, a German food truck, and even the release of a new mystery beer. Hosted by downtown yoga studio, Yogadana, in conjunction with Wylie Parks and Recreation, Yoga in the Park is a FREE outdoor yoga class at the Brown House. Cousins Maine Lobster truck is rolling back into Wylie on May 2 and parking itself right behind Landon Winery. Grab a lobster roll, lobster tacos, or some lobster tots (or all of the above, we won’t judge) and pair them with your favorite glass (or bottle, this is a judgement-free zone) of wine from Landon. The Wylie 500 Pedal Car Race (500 inches, that is) might be Wylie’s most well-known event. Parents from all over the metroplex bring their little pedalers for a chance to win a coveted pedal car trophy. But even if your child pedals their heart out and doesn’t walk away with a prize, they will take home a lifelong memory (and a t-shirt!). The pedal car races require children to be signed up. Please sign up in advance to ensure a spot in the races! This year’s event takes place on May 3rd.

For the second year in a row, the Wylie Jubilee (known more commonly as Bluegrass on Ballard) is taking place in May. Vendors, food trucks, live bluegrass music, a huge car show, and community all come together for this family-friendly event in historic Downtown Wylie. Bluegrass on Ballard is on May 30th.
