Open House at the Brown House
America is turning 250, but you can celebrate locally when you attend the Open House at the Brown House in downtown Wylie on July 3. Take the Trivia Challenge at 2 pm to test your American history knowledge, tour the Brown House, and try writing with a quill pen! There is also the opportunity to sign an American flag that will be sent to a local military member who is serving overseas. You’ll even get a free commemorative medallion!

Celebrate the Founding Fathers at Founders Park
Join in the biggest 250th birthday party around by attending the July 3 fireworks celebration at Founders Park in Wylie. Enjoy live music from local band Midnight Traveler, bounce houses for the kids, a spray pad hosted by Wylie Fire, and food trucks. The fun starts at 6:30 pm, and fireworks kick off at 9:45 pm.

Participate in Self-Care at Yoga in the Park
Prioritize self-care and your budget when you attend Yoga in the Park on July 4. Hosted by downtown yoga studio, Yogadana, in conjunction with Wylie Parks and Recreation, Yoga in the Park is a FREE outdoor yoga class at the Welcome Center at the Brown House. And if you miss July, don’t worry – the event takes place on the first Saturday of every month from April through October.
