Celebrate Oktoberfest in Wylie This Year
There’s no need to head overseas for an Oktoberfest experience. This year, you can enjoy Wylie’s very own Oktoberfest celebration at Glen Echo Brewing, located a block away from Ballard on N Birmingham. This three-day event starts at 6 PM on Friday, October 3rd, and runs through the weekend, wrapping on the 5th with a 3:30 PM performance of the Beer Choir of North Texas (yes, that is a thing, and yes, they will be gracing Wylie with their presence on October 5th).
Festivities are fun for the whole family, and even your favorite Fido. Owners of sausage dogs across the metroplex will want to bring their hot dogs to the Dachshund Races (taking place on Sunday from 1–2 PM). Other events taking place throughout the weekend include live music from the Dogensteins, a stein-holding contest, a costume contest, and a pop-up jewelry boutique.
